FOR OPTIMAL SHAPING AND FINE CUTS. Hedge trimmers in the trimming version are ideal for shaping and fine cuts for your hedges and shrubs. The blade geometry has a smaller tooth spacing and lower blade height, and the gear ratio ensures a high stroke rate. This means that even delicate work can be carried out cleanly.
ERGONOMIC, COMFORTABLE WORKING. The rotatable multi-function handle enables precise and comfortable cutting with your hedge trimmer, both at your side and at head height. It can be rotated 90° to the left and right, and so is also suitable for left-handed and right-handed users. This means the power tool is always in the most ergonomically effective position in your hand.
FOR OPTIMAL HEDGE CUTTING. The double-sided cutting blade facilitates optimum hedge cutting: vertically, horizontally and in corners. Thanks to the double-sided cutting blades, you can effectively trim or prune your hedge – even those thicker branches.
It is possible to adjust the blade stroke using 3 settings. This means you can set the ideal blade speed for any task. The blade stroke is adjusted using the control cockpit on the rotary handle. The control cockpit rotates with the handle, so that the button is always within easy reach.
FOR SAFE TRANSPORT AND PROTECTED STORAGE. Transport and store your hedge trimmer and shrub shears safely and securely with the tailor-made blade scabbard.
PREVENTS DAMAGE. The tip protector prevents damage to the blades. The tip protector also makes it easier to cut close to the ground or along walls.
The screwed on cut protection increases overlaps the working blade, reducing the risk of making contact with the blades. This can be replaced if worn out.
FOR SAFE STORAGE. The power tool has an integrated carrying ring. This allows you to store your power tool safely and compactly.
LOW-MAINTENANCE AND EFFICIENT. Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC engine enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.
FOR MORE PLEASANT WORK. Vibrations can occur when you put your power tools through their paces, and these are particularly noticeable in the grip area. The buffer and spring elements of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of engine vibrations to the handle area and therefore to your body. The result is that your power tool is more comfortable to hold and your work is much less tiring.
SPLASHWATER PROTECTION. The IPX protection classes define the moisture protection of electrical or electronic devices. The moisture protection test is defined in different stages. IPX4 certifies protection against splashwater from all sides. Battery-powered tools with this certification are therefore designed for daily use, even in rainy conditions.
INTEGRATION INTO STIHL CONNECTED. The power tool is compatible with the Smart Connector, meaning it can be integrated into the STIHL connected system. Once you have attached a Smart Connector to the power tool, after one-time commissioning it will record the power tool’s operating hours and transmit them to the STIHL connected App via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying the operational time, the app also provides an overview of all necessary maintenance, ensuring that you do not overlook important upkeep and that your power tool is always in a ready-to-use condition.
The HSA 140 T battery hedge trimmer: precise cuts for trimming shrubs hedges
The extremely powerful and robust STIHL HSA 140 T battery hedge trimmer supports you in professional garden and landscape maintenance as well as in council operations. The STIHL HS 140 T's double-sided cutting blade in trimming variant ensures precise cuts when trimming shrubs and hedges. The cutting blades work at high speed, cutting cleanly and precisely through leaves and branches. You can adjust the stroke rate between 3 stages (3,900, 4,700 and 5,000 strokes/minute) using the multi-function control handle. Thanks to the robust and durable EC motor, the stroke rate remains constant even under high load.
The STIHL HSA 140 T battery hedge trimmer is extremely flexible with its plug-in lithium-ion battery from the STIHL AP system. Their low noise and vibration levels make it possible to cut hedges without hearing protection and even in noise-sensitive areas. The rotary multi-function handle can be turned 90° to the right or left. This means an ergonomically favourable working position is always supported for every cut – even when working in several different directions. Friction-optimised blades enable longer battery life and increased service life. The screw-on cut protection and tip protectors support your safety and protect the cutting attachment.
The STIHL HSA 140 T battery hedge trimmer is available in two bar lengths of 60 cm.
It is designed for use with the optionally available STIHL Smart Connector 2 A.
All battery power tools within the STIHL AP System have been designed for regular professional use, even in adverse weather conditions. For this reason, they are certified as splashproof. The effectiveness of this is also verified through demanding internal tests. The splashwater test is aligned with the IPX4 standard, among others.
For the STIHL HSA 140 T, the splash protection that has already been proven by internal testing has also been certified in accordance with the IPX4 protection class.
