MAXIMUM BATTERY LIFE. Thanks to intelligent electronics, STIHL power tools and batteries communicate with each other. If the device and battery are equipped with the POWER BOOST function, the battery always provides the maximum possible power for the respective application. In order to ensure optimum battery life, the device temporarily adjusts the power if it is used too intensively.
POWER BOOST
CONSTANT POWER, REGARDLESS OF BATTERY CHARGE STATUS. With other brands of battery tools, the performance usually decreases during work as the battery discharges. This is not the case with STIHL cordless power tools with CONSTANT POWER. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your STIHL power tool works with consistently high power.
FLEXIBLE ADJUSTMENT, FLEXIBLE WORKING. The loop handle can be quickly and easily adjusted without tools for an ergonomic working position adapted to your height. In addition, the optimised geometry of the handle supports flexible working with plenty of freedom to manoeuvre and precise guidance of your power tool.
EASY ADJUSTMENT OF POWER TOOL PERFORMANCE. Quickly and conveniently adjust the speed of your power tool to the respective work situation. Doing so reduces energy consumption at low speeds, and in this way extends the battery runtime. The practical control handle with speed control allows you to make the relevant adjustment without having to change your grip or pause work.
DIRECT POWER SUPPLY TO THE POWER TOOL. With this power tool, you can insert the required battery from the STIHL AP-System directly into the engine housing. This increases your mobility and flexibility when working.
OPTIMAL ENGINE COOLING. The air filter with fine metal mesh cleans the air and in this way ensures optimum engine cooling. As it is itself easy to clean, it also offers a long service life.
METAL MESH AIR FILTER
WITH OPTIMAL SPEED. During operation the brushcutter recognises which cutting attachment is being used and then automatically adjusts the speed to deliver optimal performance in every application.
LOW-MAINTENANCE AND EFFICIENT. Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC engine enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.
SPLASHWATER PROTECTION. The IPX protection classes define the moisture protection of electrical or electronic devices. The moisture protection test is defined in different stages. IPX4 certifies protection against splashwater from all sides. Battery-powered tools with this certification are therefore designed for daily use, even in rainy conditions.
INTEGRATION INTO STIHL CONNECTED. The power tool is compatible with the Smart Connector, meaning it can be integrated into the STIHL connected system. Once you have attached a Smart Connector to the power tool, after one-time commissioning it will record the power tool’s operating hours and transmit them to the STIHL connected App via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying the operational time, the app also provides an overview of all necessary maintenance, ensuring that you do not overlook important upkeep and that your power tool is always in a ready-to-use condition.

FSA 140 R battery brushcutter: quiet, comfortable and efficient mowing

The FSA 140 R battery brushcutter is the right choice if you are a pro working in garden and landscape maintenance or local authority groundskeeping in noise-sensitive areas. Thanks to the wraparound handle of the STIHL FSA 140 R, you have very good flexibility when mowing on slopes or uneven terrain.

Thanks to the high-performance EC motor and the wide range of STIHL cutting attachments that you can use with this clearing saw, the FSA 140 R brushcutter offers ideal support for grounds maintenance and mowing of grass and scrub. The brushcutter’s ergonomic control handle enables you to adjust the speed on an infinitely variable basis. For the best possible efficiency, you have the option of adjusting between 3 speed levels and enabling energy-saving work. The speed settings and the energy-saving mode are displayed in the HMI Basic module. The FSA 140 R can be equipped with a STIHL Smart Connector for Bluetooth connectivity. An air filter with metal grille ensures a long service life, as this means that the engine is optimally cooled. This air filter is also easy to clean.

The STIHL FSA 140 R battery brushcutter is IPX4-certified, which means it is splashproof and can also be used in rainy conditions.

Note: Tools from the STIHL AP system can be operated with both ALLPRO batteries and AP batteries.
