EFFICIENT CUTTING OF LAWN EDGES. To cut lawn edges comfortably, precisely and quickly, you can turn the mowing unit by 90° with a few simple movements. This means that vertical cuts for lawn edges can be made in a normal working position, and sharp contours along paths or flower beds can be easily cut out.
COMFORTABLE TRIMMING UNDER OBSTACLES. The mowing unit can be angled in several stages, allowing you to comfortably adjust the grass trimmer to your own height and also to the working environment. This allows you to work comfortably under obstacles such as benches.
MORE COMFORT AS YOU WORK. It is easy to adjust the loop handle of this brushcutter to your own height simply by tilting it. Doing so allows you to work for longer without fatigue. The height can be adjusted without using any tools.
Quickly and conveniently adjust the speed of your device to the respective work situation. At low speeds, you reduce energy consumption and thus extend the battery life. The practical operating handle with speed control allows you to make the desired setting without having to change your grip or pause your work.
FOR SAFE STORAGE. The power tool has an integrated carrying ring. This allows you to store your power tool safely and compactly.
FOR HIGH WORKING COMFORT. Thanks to the length-adjustable shaft, you can work very comfortably and with minimum strain on your back. To do so, simply adjust the shaft to your height and working method, without tools.
FOR COMFORTABLE WORK. The softgrip handle integrates the control lever for switching on and off as well as a control lever lock, to make it easier to operate your cordless brushcutter. Not only is it easy to grip, but it also absorbs some of the vibrations that arise during operation.
If the blades on the mowing head become worn, you don’t need to go and fetch new replacement blades: up to six replacement blades can be easily stored on the power tool. This allows you to rapidly replace parts and quickly continue your work.
PROTECTS DURING MOWING. The spacer bar protects objects and plants as well as the cutting attachment. It means that when mowing, you can be certain of trimming precisely, without damaging plants, bark or objects. The cutting tool does not cut beyond the position of the bar. However, the front part of the spacer bar is made from flexible material, so that you can push against it if necessary and then get even closer to objects when trimming. This makes it possible to carry out clearing work in a controlled and thorough manner. You can fold the bar up or down as needed.
INTEGRATION INTO STIHL CONNECTED. The power tool is compatible with the Smart Connector, meaning it can be integrated into the STIHL connected system. Once you have attached a Smart Connector to the power tool, after one-time commissioning it will record the power tool’s operating hours and transmit them to the STIHL connected App via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying the operational time, the app also provides an overview of all necessary maintenance, ensuring that you do not overlook important upkeep and that your power tool is always in a ready-to-use condition.

Its quiet electric motor makes it perfect for use in noise‑sensitive areas, which is especially helpful when working around your home or near neighbouring properties.
Ergonomics were a key focus in the design of this brushcutter. Both the shaft length and loop handle can be adjusted without tools, and the mowing head can be set to three different angles. You can also switch from grass trimming to edge trimming in just a few quick, tool‑free steps. A foldable spacer bar helps you trim neatly and gently around trees, shrubs, and other obstacles.
The variable speed control lets you fine‑tune the motor speed to suit the task, helping reduce energy consumption and extend battery life. The FSA 50 comes standard with the STIHL AutoCut C 3‑2 line head, which can be replaced without tools. The mowing line adjusts automatically with a simple tap on the ground and can be refilled from the outside without opening the housing. As an optional accessory, the STIHL PolyCut 3‑2 head with plastic blades is also available and can be swapped in without tools.
A practical carrying ring allows the FSA 50 to be hung on the wall for compact, space‑saving storage.
